The white villa was a large house in the Cittàgazze. It had servants' rooms under the attic, and grand rooms with stately four-poster beds further down. There was a kitchen downstairs, and further down a corridor was a scullery that led to a cobbled courtyard with a gate further leading to a garden with vegetables and herbs.[1]

Lyra Silvertongue and Will Parry chose to sleep in the servants' rooms during their stay here. When a group of forty of fifty children came up to the house to try and kill the two strangers, Lyra and Will ran out of the house towards the nearby Belvedere tower which was close to some woods.[1]
