Valley of the Rainbows

The Valley of the Rainbows was a valley in the Himalayan mountains in Lyra's world.^[1] It was near the Himalayan village where Ama came from.

History[]

Marisa Coulter took her daughter Lyra Silvertongue to a cave in this valley, and kept her in a drugged sleep. Ama would bring food to them. Soon after, there was a battle between King Ogunwe's forces and the Swiss Guard.

Flora and fauna[]

The valley was home to many species of plants and animals. Some flora included rhododendrons and pine, cedar and fir trees. Birds such as doves and linnets lived there, as well as insects and small arboreal mammals.^[2]
