A train was a form of rail transport in Lyra's world. When Lyra Silvertongue was twenty, she travelled toward the Blue Hotel by train.[1] There were rail stations in Paris, Munich[2], Oxford, Reading[3], Seleukeia, Smyrna[1], Geneva, Venice, Constantinople[4], Prague, Kiev[5], Marseilles[6], Aleppo[1] and London[7].
