Queen Tilda Vasara was the clan queen of the witches of Onega. Her dæmon took the shape of an arctic tern. She informed Bud Schlesinger of a prophecy about a boy.[1] When Malcolm Polstead and Alice Parslow made their way towards London on La Belle Sauvage to take the baby Lyra Silvertongue, then Lyra Belacqua, to Lord Asriel , they stopped on a tiny flat island where Tilda Vasara appeared and cast a spell of invisibility over them, hiding them from a nearby Consistorial Court of Discipline vessel and searchlight.[2]
