Sky-iron was a type of metal that Armoured Bears or Panserbjørne such as Iorek Byrnison use to create their armour. It is difficult to cut or break, with the exception of the Subtle Knife (Æsahættr), which is stated to cut through Sky-iron 'Like butter'.
