The River Thames[1] was a river in Brytain in Lyra's world. It ran through Oxfordshire and London. On the banks of the river were The Trout Inn, Godstow Priory,[1] Wallingford Priory and, in London, Marisa Coulter's flat. It also housed the River Giant who took orders from Old Father Thames. Folly Bridge was located over the river in Oxford.

Tributaries[]

Duke's Cut connected the Oxford Canal to the Thames. The River Cherwell was also a tributary of the Thames.[2]
