The Persian Queen was Ma Costa's boat. She lived aboard it, but mostly kept it moored in the Fens. When Malcolm Polstead sent a letter to Lyra Silvertongue, someone added the name of this boat underneath as Ma had told Lyra to stay with her.[1]
