Northern Lights - The Graphic Novel is a graphic novel adaptation of Northern Lights. The novel was adapted and illustrated by Stéphane Melchior-Durand and Clément Oubrerie. Originally published in French, it was translated into English by Annie Eaton.

The graphic novel was originally set to be released in three volumes. The first volume was released on 24 September 2015, and the second on 1 September 2016. However, no separate third volume was released. An omnibus was published on 2 November 2017.[1]
The Subtle Knife[edit | edit source]
The Subtle Knife graphic novel part 1 was released in French on 15 November 2018 and part two is expected on 22 January 2020 however an English translation has yet to be made.[2]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
- In the graphic novel, Tony Makarios was renamed Tim.
- Like in the radio adaptation, Marisa Coulter's dæmon was renamed Ozymandias.
- Multiple minor characters are added in the graphic novel for example, Szabo.
