The Oratory of Jordan College was a dimly-lit and musty-smelling building. Below the Oratory was the Jordan catacombs, where the former Masters of Jordan College and former Scholars were buried. During Lyra Silvertongue's youth, Father Heyst was in charge of the college services here.[1]
