The Hall was a large chamber at Jordan College in which the scholars ate their meals.
Description
The Hall had three tables with oak benches which ran its length. The high table, accompanied by fourteen mahogany chairs with velvet cushions, was perpendicular to the other tables and raised upon a dais. At one end of the dais there was a door to the Retiring Room. High up on the walls there were portraits of former Masters.[1]
