The Hall was a large chamber at Jordan College in which the scholars ate their meals.
Description
The Hall was a large chamber. Three tables with oak benches ran its length. The high table, accompanied by fourteen mahogany chairs with velvet cushions, was perpendicular to the other tables and raised upon a dais. At one end of the dais there was a door to the Retiring Room. High up on the walls there were portraits of former Masters.[1]
