George Paston was a man from Lyra's world who spoke with a Liverpool accent. He worked as a constable at St Aldate's police station and was the liaison officer Cardinal's College,[2] Foxe College, Broadgates Hall College and Oriel College.[3] His dæmon was a short-legged dog.[1] Along with Benny Morris, he murdered Anthony Hassall by the Royal Mail Zeppelin Station. George would take orders from Simon Talbot whom he knew because Simon was part of Cardinal's.[2]
