The Founder's Feast was traditionally held at the end of every Michaelmas term at Jordan College. It was known for its culinary excellence and splendour, and was an occasion where the college silverware was used. As the Steward, Mr Cawston was responsible for the Feast. Between the meat and dessert, it was tradition for those in attendance to change places and for rosewater made from Levantine roses to be carried around for use on napkins and fingers.[1]
