Forums: IndexRetiring Room News feed

Hi everyone,

With the show coming up and all these announcements we're getting - I think it would be beneficial to have a news feed (updated by editors, of course) on the home page. It would gather all information about the series (not just the show) - details on events, cover releases, cast updates, release dates, show titles and could link to various pages on the wiki.

The style could be like the Twitter feeds at the moment (on the side of the main page). It could go on top of the Twitter feeds and include maybe 5 slots for news. Reply with your thoughts! NightSpeakers - My Blogs! 15:03, June 9, 2019 (UTC)

Is there some sort of template/reference you have for how this would look? I'm a bit confused by what kind of news we would list under such a feed. And how we would determine what's worthy of going in the feed. --MusicaLƎƎ (talk) 17:42, June 13, 2019 (UTC)
For the style, something like Wikipedia's main page, The Riordan Wiki (look at the history) or the DYK template. As for what's worthy - anything big in the HDM world - new covers being released, release dates, actors being chosen, new trailers being released, new extracts - new and exciting info that fans would be interested in knowing basically. I've made a test here of what it would look like along with some news. We can add noinclude tags around the sixth - last points so that only 5 are showing on the home page and then add a 'read more...' link underneath, taking the reader to the template page - and perhaps we can add some images/videos to the news feed template page too.
