TSC and HDM TV series[]
Hi everyone! Do you think it's a suitable time to add The Secret Commonwealth to the appearances section of articles that we know 100% are going to appear in the new book (Lyra Silvertongue, The Levant and others that have been confirmed?).
Additionally, what about His Dark Materials (TV series) for characters now confirmed to be in the series? When should we be adding the appearances for the TV series, there are a few questions:
- Should we add the series number to it (His Dark Materials, Series 1/2/3/4/5)? (I think for references - especially as we'll be looking a bit more at how Marisa Coulter behaves with her dæmon at home - it will be His Dark Materials, Series X, Episode X)
- Would we put this appearance above The Golden Compass film and video game?
- Will the appearances section get a bit overcrowded on some pages? If so, maybe we could do something like the French Wiki for articles with a lot of appearances?

- With the show coming up, another user has just edited the alethiometer page, putting the TV series in the appearances - I've temporarily reverted until an admin/community decides what to do about it. - I think it makes sense to have the series number in the appearances section and the additional episode number for references (paralleling the book/chapter system we currently have). — ArgentFir 13:34, August 1, 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'll start putting them in. Just a small note, I've put them after the original trilogy (the film is based on NL, so it was after that, and as the TV series is based on the series, it follows those books). This is how it might look in the future:
- His Dark Materials (TV series), Series 1, 2, 3
- His Dark Materials (TV series), Series 1, 2 (Mentioned only), 3 (Mentioned only)
- His Dark Materials (TV series), Series 1 (Appears on a map), 2
