A camera was a device use to create photographs, known as photograms in Lyra's world. Mary Malone wrote in her personal entries 'Why didn't I bring the camera?' when referring to the landscape of the mulefa world. She also wrote later that it was unjust that there was no camera for Will Parry to take a photo of Lyra Silvertongue when they went back to their own separate worlds.[1]
