Café Antalya was a shop in Smyrna in Lyra's world. On Monday 11 May, Anthony Hassall planned to meet someone at Café Antalya in Süleiman Square in Smyrna.[1][2]
When she was twenty, Lyra Silvertongue visited the cafe and was recognised by Bud Schlesinger. He told her that the High Council had ordered her arrest and took her back to his apartment in the city, where he had a letter from Malcolm Polstead waiting for her. He also promised her that he would be at Café Antalya at 11am to make the meeting Anthony Hassall had planned.[3]
