Aisha el-Wahabi was the sister of Nur Huda el-Wahabi. She spoke Arabic. When she was around 5 or 6 years old, her family fled from their home when their town was attacked by men from nearby mountains. The family boarded a boat which was struck by a ferry travelling from Constantinople to Smyrna. Aisha was rescued from the wreckage of the boat and given to Lyra Silvertongue to take care of until the ferry reached Smyrna. Upon reaching Smyrna, Aisha was taken by Alison Wetherfield to find someone to look after her.
